African Women in Millet harvesting season

Its around this time of January every year when African women especially in the Western Region of Uganda when people especially women spend most of the time in gardens harvesting millet. This annual activity is mostly dominated by women and their children. They withstand whatever weather is available be-it rain, sunshine/drought….. to make sure that all their millet is harvested. Millet is one of the food crops that requires a lot but its difficult to convince people especially women to abandon it because its one of the traditional and cherished food for men though they don’t fully engage in the process.
